Gothenburg: Archipelago cruise with guide

1.Archipelago cruise with guide

★★★★★★★★★★4.3 · 1,002 reviews · 2.5 hours · from $47Our pick

Board at Lilla Bommen for a 2.5-hour guided cruise through Gothenburg Harbor, past Älvsborg Fortress and out among the southern archipelago. M/S Carl Michael Bellman or M/S S:t Erik provides indoor seating, open decks, toilets, and a café. Commentary is given in Swedish and English.

“We were a group of 10 who booked and enjoyed this trip. Boat had a lovely interior with food and drink available and the deck had plenty of seating for travellers too. The staff gave a good safety briefing, and informative updates at key points of our trip. The captain was happy to talk through the more complex details of navigation, and also showed us some seals he had seen on a trip the previous day. Crew were friendly and took a few group shots for us. A really worthwhile thing to do while in Gothenburg! So glad we did this.”

“It was avery wet day and we only managed to use the app for 2 of the places we wanted to visit. So, I would suggest checking what is covered on here and if it is worth the cost of entrance. As places like Lisberg and World of Volvo are not included.”

Landvetter Airport Bus Transfer Departure - Finding the right departure point in Gothenburg

Landvetter Airport Bus Transfer Departure

6.Landvetter Airport Bus Transfer Departure

★★★★★★★★★★3.5 · 158 reviews · 30 minutes (approx.) · from $16Best value

Take a one-way Flygbussarna coach from Gothenburg’s Nils Ericson Terminal to Landvetter Airport in about 30 minutes. Your $16.80 fare includes air-conditioning, onboard WiFi, and a mobile ticket. Check the voucher carefully before boarding, as some drivers have questioned third-party booking documents.

“This was a big mistake booking Viator. I booked a transfer as we had a late flight and wanted to take the hassle out of finding our hotel. Sadly this was more frustrating than finding our own way, as all of the bus drivers were unaware of Viator and refused to take us. Naturally as a woman being stranded at a foreign airport late at night for service you have already paid for can be very scary. I would not recommend this service to anyone.”

Landvetter Airport Bus Transfer Arrival

7.Landvetter Airport Bus Transfer Arrival

★★★★★★★★★★3.5 · 117 reviews · 20 minutes (approx.) · from $16

Take a shared Flygbussarna coach from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport to central Gothenburg in about 20 minutes. Choose stops including Korsvägen, Kungsportsplatsen, Södra Torget, Grand Hotel, or Nils Ericson Terminalen. You get air conditioning, onboard WiFi, and a mobile ticket, but voucher acceptance has been uneven.

“Unacceptable, the driver did not recognise the voucher and could not find a booking reference number. He gave up and let us on anyway. Coming back was worse, driver didn't recognise the voucher and wanted me to pay again and claim it back off Viator. I wouldn't and they eventually let us on after quite some argy Bargy. My advise would be just to pay the driver it's about a tenner and will save you a lot of hassle with the vouchers.”

“There's always some confusion with this tour in terms of it's starting point and unless you have a prebooked ticket it's very to get a place in the boat e.g. city pass. The tour itself it's okay the archipelago it's not as beautiful as in the Stockholm area. It's an okay experience.”

11.Self Drive Electric Boat in the Canals

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 58 reviews · 1 to 6 hours (approx.)

Take the helm of a 12-seat electric boat at Snäckan on Christina Nilssons gata and guide your group through Gothenburg’s historic canals and central waterfront. No boating license is needed. You receive written instructions, an activation code by phone, cushions, life vests, and a digital guide. Bring drinks, snacks, and your dog.

“One star is even too high for the service of this company. Extremely unwelcoming and rude. No instruction given at all and was told to “read the email” when asked for help. Customers who arrived after us were given a proper introduction and briefing whilst we were ignored which led me to believe his attitude was racially motivated as I am a black woman. Upon return, he was nowhere to be found and we were left to park and tie the boat back up to shore as beginners. Do not bother wasting your money on this.”
